TRUNK SONGS is a musical revue that was originally developed as a fund-raiser for The Village Theatre Company in New York City. It was subsequently produced as part of the Arts and Artists Series at St. Paul’s. It was the third revue of our material that was produced in New York, following STILL WAITING (1981) and TEASERS AND TORMENTORS (1985).

The premise of the show was a single theatrical trunk center stage. The performers pulled various props out of it, instigating the songs in the show. Sometimes props were passed from performer to performer, and certain thematic lines were explored in a series of a few songs. Mostly it’s a collection of songs written for various projects, some of which have seen the light of day, and some of which have not!
