PLAYING
THE PALACE CREATIVE TEAM
James Merillat (music) and Dick Pasqual
(lyrics) began writing together over 15 years ago when Jim discovered that
Dick was secretly writing lyrics to all of the assignments Jim was being
given as a member of the BMI Workshop under Lehman Engel. Projects include
the revues Still Waiting (1985), Teasers & Tormentors (1987) and Trunk Songs
(1993) and the book musicals include Radio Eyes (1986), Exit Music (1991) –

Palace (now). While Dick enjoys a life of leisure having successfully
retired from the publishing world, Jim works as a freelance consultant,
providing music and other theatre-related services to several companies in
New York.
Andrew Douglas Roth (book) holds a B.A. degree in Theater from The
University of Buffalo. He served as Dramaturg for The Village Theater, a
